OUTLANDS NORTH

Unveiling their striking new kit for 2024

OUTLANDS NORTH

Cycling has always been a big part of the North story, releasing custom cycle jerseys, eco friendly water bottles, IPA’s brewed with Paria cycling apparel and our charity bike ride – Paria Paperboy – which grows year on year.

Started by friends Dan and James, Outlands brought together likeminded cycling enthusiasts to not only improve their fitness but also their mental health. Each year Outlands has grown, hosting exciting rides, competitions and encouraging a cycling community to emerge. As such, for 2024, it is entering a new era: Outlands North!

We are delighted to continue to show our support to the Outlands collective.

Outlands North is an integral part of a larger family alongside Outlands Coffee Club, for biking beginners and casuals, Outlands Femmes and Outlands e-sports. Dan, together with the founding members of the club, have opened the doors to all, fostering a sense of community that extends beyond the tracks… from beginners who want to build confidence and fitness on the bike, to those who want to race up hill climbs and everyone between!

This year marks the third evolution of the Outlands kit, moving away from their previous blue and pink design towards something bolder. We’re so proud to be featured on the jersey alongside their other amazing sponsors who make this community possible as well as Outlands newly trademarked mountain icon, symbolising the challenges ahead.

From short and long-sleeved jerseys to bib shorts, socks, gilets, and jackets, the entire kit has undergone a glow-up. Cycling has never looked so good, combining optimal performance with distinctive style.

Outlands have also introduced their distinctive new mascot, IKE. This character is born from the overall vibe of the club and will be used on t-shirts and other merchandise in the future. IKE features prominently on the back of the jersey.

To support their work with Newcastle Hospitals Charity, they’ve also added QR codes to their striking kit, linking direct to more information and where you can donate. A forward-thinking move that reflects their innovative approach and commitment to raising awareness and supporting these hard-working local heroes.

But it’s not just about the new kit! Club members can also work towards earning 3 bands, each with a challenge to test their mettle and provide an achievable goal for riders.

Purple = who spent the most time on their bike during the year.

Red = who took the most segments on Strava.

Blue = the winner of the Outlands Hill Climb event.

Not only that, but whoever within the club is awarded the accolade of being Best Rider, voted for by their fellow members, will receive the much coveted Gold Jersey.

Launched on 1st March, we hope that you’re ready to witness this new kit making waves on the road throughout 2024. Or why not join in with Outlands big meet on the 17th March.. detail can be found on their website and strava club https://www.outlands.cc/coffee-club where it’s free to sign up!
