Yesterday was a glorious day full of radiant golden sunshine. A perfect opportunity for a walk up to Headingley to visit one of our favourite locals, Bottle Chop.
We chatted to Gemma and Ellis, owners of Bottle Chop, about who they are, what they do and what they’ve got planned for the year ahead!
We are Bottle Chop. ie: A bottle shop, with a deli, where we chop! From the people behind Fika North , Bottle Chop is a wine shop, beer shop, micro deli and bar.
We opened our doors in August 2021, in Far Headingley with a strong focus on sourcing high quality, small scale, indie natural wines and beers, with loads of great food to go alongside. We love our refill wine and beer counter. Pay once for your bottle and refill it time and time again… less packaging, less waste, less embarrassing trips to the bottle bank, great!
Take away or take a seat, relax and enjoy the perfect accompaniment from the deli menu from cheese to charcuterie, there’s always something delicious. At the moment, Leeds Blue by @yorkshire_pecorino is made just up the road in Otley, using sheep’s milk from Harrogate. It’s incredibly smooth, rich and creamy and you’ve just gotta try it!
We’ve got some big plans for 2022! We’re taking our shop fully online, allowing people to grab limited edition bottles of wine as soon as it’s released, through to gift hampers sent straight to your door nation wide!
We’ve also got plans to add more to our menu, more products on the shelves and more seating outside for those sunny evenings to come!
As we said, Bottle Chop is one of our favourite spots in Leeds, if you have never visit, you must add it to one of your weekends soon. You can find them on Weetwood Ln, Headingley, Leeds LS6 5LX.
