Coolhead Brewery Tap Takeover

Finland’s finest CoolHead Brew are heading to Sovereign St for a tap takeover to showcase some of their finest brews ahead of Dark & Wild festival held at Northern Monk.

CoolHead Brew are based in the heart of Helsinki and bring together both the traditional Nordic and the exotic. In their beers you can taste the clean, crisp and minimalistic notes resembling the Nordic nature, but also the fresh, colourful and exciting taste of the tropics.

They’ll be bringing along the following beers for you to try:

Tin Foil Hat Series #09: Hollow Earth – 8% DIPA brewed with Rivington Brewery – The latest in the conspiracy theory series of beers, this one is named for the Hollow Earth theory that the Earth is a shell and within that shell exists another realm. “While we tried to solve the mystery, we brewed some creamy underground crawler with Sabro HyperBoost and dry-hopped it with Riwaka and BRU-1.” Expect a ton of tropical, stone fruit and coconut flavours from BRU-1 and Sabro tempered with citrus and slight herbal flavours from the Riwaka.

Addicted to Riwaka – 8% DIPA – The latest in the Addicted To… series which showcases different NZ hops in each beer and their unique characteristics. Riwaka will give off powerful tropical and citrus flavours, especially grapefruit. An almost 1:1 ratio of alpha to beta acids give this Saaz hop offspring a strong sweet citrus note.

Party Smoosh – 5% Candy Sour – Let’s get this party started! Released for the first time in 2021, this candy sour has made a spectacular return to dance floors! Double Fruited Candy Sour brewed with peach rings and lemon candies, blood orange and apricot pureé.
