Mark your calendars for Saturday 25th May, when we kick off our celebrations for Leeds Jazz Festival. As the official brewery partner for the festival, not only are we pouring North beers all weekend at The Welcome to Leeds Stage, but we’ll be showcasing the official Leeds Jazz Festival beer which we have brewed with our friends from ATA Records, an independent Funk, Jazz and Soul label from Leeds.
The refreshing gluten-free pale ale comes with and exclusive virtual music release by Work, Money, Death, which is available to download for free by scanning a QR code. A short run of exclusive cassettes will also be available to purchase from our webshop.
The festival is returning to the city for its third year, celebrating musicians, venues, promoters, audiences and organisations that are part of the Leeds Jazz tapestry, from 23rd – 28th May. Our bar will be running for 4 days over the event, from 24th – 27th May, located on Cookridge Street.
As well as pouring at the festival we’re hosting an exclusive NORTH X ATA RECORDS launch party at Springwell on Saturday 25th May where you can browse an ATA Records pop-up shop followed by a live tasting of the beer with a Q&A session. To keep the vibes flowing all night we’re also joined by Neil from ATA Records for an all-night live DJ set where he’ll be spinning vinyl records from ATA’s collection alongside our very own James Ockleford of Refold Studios.
Can’t make it to the festival or the launch party? Don’t fret! The official beer will be available to buy on our webshop from 14th May. And for those eager to get a taste of the beer before anyone else, keep your eyes peeled as the beer will be pouring at selected venues across Leeds from Friday 24th May.
